embossing I like.

August 26, 2009

Another Birthday card, oh my, and again I am using green color. I guess I have to repeat myself but why not. Ribbon for a dollar and green card-stock from a card pack are both from Michael's. I just highlighted the flower that was on the card already with a gold marker to make it more visible. It gives it a nice background to the butterfly in the circle. I also used embossing this time (I just love embossing!) - a golden butterfly, which looks awesome by the way - it took me 3 tries until it was perfect, by the way:))). The clear butterfly stamp is from Anna Griffin collection, the stamp used in previous project. I just got a lot of clear stamps on sale recently and they are all just wonderful!!! It is such a great idea to use silicon stamps. It's not only cost effective but also friendly to environment - no more wooden blocks (even thought I still like those as well). The white circle is cut with the circle punch from Fiskars.
For the text part, I used rest of the pre-cut orange texture cardstock I had left and a pink gem-stone to add some detail to it. Heaven! I just need to figure out what to write now - that's always the hardest part when I don't want to repeat myself everytime:)Stay tuned, Friday is getting close:)
