the pink cake made from scrap. just paper (by paper-source) and little bit of embossing powder needed. Done!
This is rather a complicated card. I know I said before I prefer simple card making but a little bit time consuming project is sometimes fun. I used a lot of techniques on this one... stamping, embossing, sewing, glueing, cutting, stuffing, and so on:) I print the birthday text on a piece of sheer paper, sprinkled it with transparent embossing powder, and heated it up with the heating tool. Before I sewed it completely to the white blank card using a red tread I slipped couple silver and gold circles out of foil. I added a little wooden lady bug and two foil hearts hanging from a red tread. The text is in Slovak and basically says all possible Birthday wishes!
I started a big search for antique fabric stamps and I was successful with a purchase of couple back in Denver in a cute little antique store. I found 2 pretty pieces and one I already used for making a gift paper. Here is the dotted wooden stamp in action... little bit of sunlight yellow and bright lime green paint, piece of cut sponge, and brown paper is all you need!
...and here is the final product in use... all the presents for little Nela (one of my friends newborn baby) nicely wrapped in a hand-made paper and polka-dot ribbon ready to be send:)
And again, I am playing with fabric... this time no felt but my old... pajama! Well, it got ripped and the damage was to big to be fixed. I felt sorry to just throw it away as it was my favorite piece. So, what do you do with your favorite piece of clothing that it's not wearable anymore??? Simply, it become a piece of jewelry! A čo v tom prípade treba spraviť zo svojím obľúbeným kúskom??? Jednoducho ho premeniť na šperk!
lobster cut-out from a magazine. couple foam tape squares. recycled sheet paper from K&Company. 3 adhesive gems. green blank card from Michaels. Jamestown has still effects on me like fresh see-food on every corner:)
I came home yesterday and woke up... 16 hours later!!! I didn't know I was that much tired:) I guess it was a long trip from the other continent. Now, after a nice plate of 'halusky' with extra bacon I am back on the track fixing our garden... well, probably jungle is better expression. The grass got a new haircut but after the extreme winter and our dogs running around it needs some help and a lot of fertilizer. Wish me luck:)
... u just bought like 10 wooden fabric stamps at the antique show, and having tons of craft magazines and books that need to find space in my already stuffed suitcase:) I am getting little bit annoyed by all this packing. I guess it is time to buy a new piece of language and bigger this time!
Today is my last day in Jamestown... time to go back home and get prepared for the wedding:) Tomorrow, D and me are heading for NY city and staying there for a night. My plane is leaving late in the evening and I hope we will make it to the Guggenheim museum before I leave home. I will let you know how it all went. See you later and wish me luck:)
Let's start with this...
PS: By the way, I am using one of the free photo frames from photoRadar for the Photoshop. Aren't they lovely?
- awesome dress with low-V in the back
- with cute sole smokey shoes with polka-dot from buckle
- adding the red tights from sockshop the outfit will look fabulous
- cashmere cardigan in mint for colder evenings
- and rustic looking faux bag from pacsun
- jewelry is a must and I picked Isabel Marant stone-embellished half-hoop earrings and Howlite stone bracelet from net-a-porter

This time there is a visible 'thank you' line. The orange blank card is from Michaels (I am getting tired of this word) and the paper dollie as well. I added a scrap yellow paper underneath the dollie to make it little bit pop out. Martha Stewart's products belong to my favorite and I found this gold ribbon from her line on sale. The stripe circle is a scrap paper that I stamped with 'thank you' stamp and embossed with gold powder. The butterfly is stamped, embossed, and hand-cut. I added four adhesive gems for the motion:)
This is the last addition to the 'thank you' set and I'm thankful it's over. I have enough 'thanks' for now:) Thank you for stopping by!

I have to admit, this is another very cheep card:) The blank green card was in a set of six at Michaels for $1, the orange serrated square is a fabric sample from Pottery Barn (so for free), the top flowery square is from note card set for a $1 as well. I found couple plastic middles that were left from fabric flowers that I used in a different project. I just cut them flat to be able to attached it to the middle of each paper flower. The last think was using a black ink pen to write a simple - thank you. Another addition to the 'thank you' family:)
I really like these cute silver medallions that I found at Michaels of course on sale and I decide to use it on of my 'thank you' card project. It's attached to the ribbon with a little golden brad from MM. The ribbon and the green blank card both are from Micheals as well. The 'plant' paper is from a set of different crafting papers and the sticker letters from Black Tie collection by MM.
Oh happy thank you day:)
Oh happy thank you day:)
... I got this beautiful wooden 'Penny Black' tree stamp from Mr. D and I just love it. I stamped sheer paper from Michaels with it and embossed with transparent powder, added couple gold brads from MM and created an apple tree:) The green blank card is from Paper-Source as usually, ribbon from Michaels for $1, and a piece of the green 'leather' paper from the Flax store, the paper store in San Francisco (I just love that paper). And, another card can be added to the 'thank you' set!
Another one from the 'thank you' card set without a thank you line. I'm using a green blank card from Paper-Store, a paper dollie from Michaels, the premium ribbon from American Crafts, a blue circle cut out of Martha Stewart crafting paper, and the cherry on the top is the hand-cut butterfly with silver pen antennas and a pair of pink adhesive gems.
My dear D asked me to make couple thank you cards for couple people on one of his campaigns and I did... make couple card... and this is one of them:)
Very few items were used on this one... green blank card from Paper-Store with rounded corners, scrap pink paper, scrap transparent paper from Michaels, a hand-stamped and hand-cut butterfly attached with gold brad from MM, and 'thanks' stickers from a wedding album kit on sale at Micheals. Wonderful:)

... 'when there is a day to celebrate'...I just love the line! Sooo flexible... It can be used in any concept. So, I am ready for any special day:)
Another card for the mom's special day... similar concept as the last one just wider card- felt bird, recycled piece of paper-green with little bit different pattern, blank green card, and rub-on sentiment. Just lovely:)
Here we go again...a special day today for most of you, moms! Let's celebrate this day with little bit of yellow, green, and orange.
The material used - blank yellow card from Recollections at Michaels, orange felt ribbon with bird&branch theme from retif, and sentiment rub-ons from MM. The green paper from a double-sided mat pad by K&Company is recycled from 100% post-consumer waste and printed with soy ink.... how convenient:) Happy day to all the mothers! I love you mom:)
