So, additionally I would like to celebrate my first year of many to come. The first of many... is the title of my first addition to this blog and I still can’t believe it has been a year already, a year and one month to be more exact:) Time sure flies when you’re having fun blogging and crafting!
So, thank you all for stopping by and leaving a comment. Thank you for watching this space, for caring and sharing. I am happily back home in Slovakia and working on the scented pillows again. Did not unpacked yet but took over the craft project that I left unfinished. My sewing machine is still broken so I am using my own, good Lord!!! I bought these great Tilda fabrics while I was in Norway this past summer and just I love the different patterns they come in. I need to find a lot of lavender for stuffing though. Also, I am using this great felted ribbon with cute bird sitting on the branches that I bough at a flower market here in Slovakia. The orange felt is a nice contrast to the fabric. I'm thinking to make some with Christmas accents later, maybe attach some jingle bells or stars. But, that will happen when I get my sewing machine fixed or buy a new one that would take me out of the misery.
I'm packing right now to go back home to Slovakia for a while. Mr. D is very sad & I am too but we will see each other in 2 months during the Christmas. I will really miss Colorado, being short of breath during hiking and having troubles with cooking (boy, that high altitude can be tricky). It is a great place to be for sure. I'm not looking forward to the long flight though. First, flying from Denver to NY city and than catching a 8-9 hour long flight to Budapest. My family will pick me at the airport but we still have to drive 2,5 hours to get home. I wish I could just close my eyes and be at home. Just a wish. Bye-bye Colorado. It had a great time for sure!
I am working on a masterpiece, hehe. Well, at least it feels like it takes for ever. I was inspired by the ...hmm... I can't find the page but the idea is not mine, credit belongs to somebody else (i will try to find the real author later). But, it is a great idea and I had to try it. Basically, I was folding couple of the yellow pages. It is definitely fun. My fingers got little bit black from the print while I was folding each page but it looks cool! It would definitely look good on the wall. But, the wall hanging has to wait because I still need to fold like 400 pages:)
I finally found the source of this idea and it is Jeffery Rudell and you can find the whole process on crafstylish. Enjoy!
Before we really enter the fall, I have one more butterfly card to show you. This is another simple one without the words and it's better that way:) I used a yellow card from Recollections again , a premium ribbon from American crafts, Ann Griffin overlay sheet, and couple hand stamped butterflies embossed with white powder ... really simple to make. So, I hope you have a wonderful week everybody!

I am still kinda sick and I am stuffing my self with lemons and hot tea and other healthy stuff. At least my coughing is still stuck with me. And, because I am grounded at home I kill the time with making cards. How surprising! :)

So, how about a butterfly card??? I know the fall is knocking on the door but why not enjoy a card full of spring scent for a moment? Yellow base card is from 'Recollections' stamped with Ann Griffin stamp using green color and transparent embossing powder. The butterflies are hands stamped on a gold glossy paper with AG stamp as well, embossed with white powder and cut. I added couple of dried leaves for the butterflies to sit on and a 'you're invited' embossed note on the gold glossy paper with orange gem-stones on each side.
Have a great day!

If you look closer on the below picture a little lady bug wanted to be a part of my project, and she sure completes my card:)
This was a card I made I while ago and didn't really blog about it. I used green base card, one of the papers from a paper block collection from Micheal's, a butterfly stamp from Paper-source embossed with clear embossing powder. Using black marker to draw 2 lines and adding self-adhesive yellow half pearls on the top of each line I created butterfly's antennas. Additionally, I print out a quote about giving thanks on piece of sheer paper and embossed it with the transparent powder. I stamped the same sheer paper with a flower stamp using pink stamping color, embossed it with transparent powder, and finally punched 3 butterflies with the pink embossed surface. I bent both of the wings on each butterfly putting a little bit adhesive on the bottom and pressing 2 of them to the both sides of the sheer paper and one to the left bottom corner.
I was playing with paper again. That's probably not surprising but this time I was playing with different substance. I made it a little bit wet and made a bowl out of it. Well, they are actually three and it is just paper and water. I ripped newspaper into little pieces and put it into a bowl with water to soak it completely. I used little cups for punch as a form that I sprayed with nonstick baking spray. Putting layers of the soaked pieces inside the form I formed a little shaggy bowl. The final touch was letting it dry for a day and fixed it with an adhesive in spray. Easy enough:)
