I have more summer thoughts now. Living so close to the ocean makes me so happy and creative... summer theme creative. I guess it is in air, in the salty and refreshing air:) I wish everybody a great refreshing day!

That's my motto for today and I sure enjoyed it! I went to the beach this afternoon and it was just beautiful. The sale-boats are parking out on the ocean now. So, I believe the summer season is close, very close. I love the smell of the salt water and finding treasures in the sand while walking on the beach. Well, I am not counting the smoochy sound when I step on the washed out seaweed that smells... well like ocean:) But, my collection of seashells is growing and D will be happy about the fact that our dining table is occupied by bigger selection of beautiful findings from the deepest bottom of the ocean.

My today's card project speaks about enjoying... enjoying anything in the life... the morning sun that is really happily bright today... the blue sky that can't be more blue today... the cereals that are tasting so much better sitting on the porch while reading the local paper... enjoying little thinks is the key:)
The sun is actually a cut-out from a magazine. It's a picture of a soap in a shape of a sun. I god more cut-outs like this and made more project in this theme:). You know I was bored, again:) Doted card is from a pack at Michaels on sale, some scrap yellow paper, couple foam tape pieces, and one gold brad and rub-on sentiment from MM... that's all what I used.So, little advice from me... Enjoy every day and every little think that happens in your life! It's worth to care:)

...hand-cut butterflies again... I guess I have too much free time:) But you just have to love those stamps! But still, the punch would be easier. The ribbon from Martha Stewart was on sale. So, I think it was a good purchase, plus I like the color combination on that one:) Card is from a pack of 20 from Micheals on sale and dollie was also bought at the Micheals store. The sentiment puff sticker 'A fairy tale love' is from a set of stickers from 'M' source. I am starting to call this store M from now, I think I wrote Micheals like 1000 times on this blog:) The pink square paper is from a crafting set that I got on clearance for cheep at M. Jesus, I'm soooo cheep!:)

I still can't decide, which version is better. Less is always more but I think I'll still vote for the busy one:)

This card was made on dime and it wasn't my intention at all but it just happened to be super cheep:) I wanted to make a special card for a cute little baby and this is the outcome.
The green blank card was in a pack of 20 on sale at Michaels for $1. The wooden giraffe from newwimageco bought officially as a tag for a baby present was only 67 cents.The sentiment from safari kids by DCWV goes great with the wooden giraffe. The set of 3D stickers was from clearance at Micheals for $1.97 (before $4). So proud of my purchases that were well used to create baby card for little Nela.

This card was made for one of the masculine family members for his Birthday. I always have hard time with picking the right colors and material. Picking a feminine them and colors is always much easier:) But, man or a women - birthday it is and it has to be done. I used a bold green card from the package that was on sale at Micheals. I used two pieces of a brown ribbon with white lines from the American craft's premium ribbons. The metal charmed frame is from Making Memories that I got years ago. I used the brown dotted paper from 'The Eco Stack' by DCWV again. The white 'hb' letters from Making Memories as well are placed on a piece of clear transparent square that I cut from a base for stickers - so basically recycling it and atteched with clear double site tape to the inside edge of the metal frame. Now, just adding couple words and I hope the card will be a success:)

Here I am on Squam again! The ones who don't know what is Squam it's simply the best place in the whole world:) Me and D are visiting one of our friends here for a poker night. So, D is playing and I am blogging as I am bad on keeping the poker face:)

But, I think I'm better at keeping my creativity face and playing with my type of cards. Like this one for example, the dreamy one with a lot of hand cut butterflies (I think it's time to get a butterfly punch). But, have this really cute butterflies stamps from Micheals and they have the perfect shape. So, I stamped the peachy cardstock and cut them nicely out. I used a square of the paper that I got in San Francisco but I am not sure what company it is. I feels like a leather and it also has this leather structure. The 'dream' sentiment was from a collection of tree for a dollar at Micheals and the orange blank card from the same place.
I can't wait for tomorrow to hike up the Rattle Snake and get to the top to see the wonderful Squam:) See you next and have a great weekend!

I am enjoying making simple cards more than the complicated ones. It is so much easier and I found out that my stack is not disappearing that quickly:) The blank card is from Recollections and the plastic hearts with different sentiments from Curel. I used one of the Martha Stewart's punches to cut out the little stamps using paper from Martha as well. Foam tape is a great tool to make the hearts more dimensional. I also used the foam and hearts to decorate the inside as well.

I know... it is too early for a fall card but I had the mood to make one. It really feels like the fall is taking over the spring here in Jamestown. It is raining all day and the wind is getting wild. So, I have a good reason to use these great plastic leaves from Retif for my card project. The leaves look just great with the wooden sunflower in pots that I got from the Retif store as well. The yellow blank card is from Recollections, the white name tag is from Martha Stewart, and the gray tag underneath is a brand tag from clothes I saved... recycling again:) I used the corner punch from Fiscars and a dollar stamp 'the season of change' from Michaels. It was definitely fun to make this card and I can't wait for the leaves changing season to come but now we really need a little bit of sun here, pretty please!
