Pretty in pink. Well, in this case just a touch of pink... and yellow. I
just love those shoes. It might be little bit chilli in those peep toes
but that why I put those hot pink tights in there to keep it warm.
Yes, it happens again. We are leaving wonderful Denver for East Coast. High altitude I'll miss you... a lot:)
...the streets of Denver will be truly missed and remembered...
... as well as the almost always blue sky...
... hiking in the rocky mountains was a trill...
...hanging out with Darren's hockey mates (Darren will miss them a lot) was always fun...
...we enjoyed all the Denver's attractions, also the ones I dragged Darren too - Antique show, Home&Built exhibition, Kirkland museum, Molly Brown House, Tea room tour in Boulder, Red Rocks Amphitheater and many more:) ...
... and of course the snowstorms will be well missed surely:)...Rode Island is the next spot we will be for a while. Our plan is driving back through eleven states if I am counting right - KS, MO, TN, GA, SC, NC, VA, PA, MA, NH, VT, and than quickly back to RI. We have exactly 10 days to manage it! We planned to see couple of our friends and family on the way so it will be truly a fun roadtrip:) I will be here sporadically but I will try to update you about our drive. So, be ready!:)
This is the reason why I want to move to San Francisco... FLAX...an awesome place for art and design, a paper paradise. I just realized I didn't get any pictures of the interior or at least me standing in front of it. I guess I was overwhelmed by the spread:) So, I got couple pics from their page instead. I can just tell you it is beautifuuuuuul in there!!!:)

I actually made two baby cards to pick one for the new addition at my friend's family- Sophie who I mentioned last time. This is the card that didn't make it... I know... so sad:( But, don't worry. It will make happy other people for sure. Either, I'll sell it at our store or give it as a gift to somebody:) I used a paper that I got as a separate piece at a craft store in Center Sandwich, NH that doesn't exist anymore (partially a patchwork store that still runs), which is a pity because they had a lot of great stuff over there. I am not sure what company made this paper as I cut it in pieces (blush). The wide ribbon and the sentiment ribbon are from Micheals and the blank card from Paper-Source rounded by the Fiscars corner punch. I just love the felt sheep I discovered in Retif and I used the clear half pearls again. Don't you just love crafting?!?!
This is Sophie and this card was made for her... nicely covered in pink and fluff. There was more stuff made for her but let's leave that for the next post:)
I finally had a chance to use my felt ribbon that I got from Retif in 2 colors - pink and yellow. They are really wide and open to many projects. I made a cozy out of it for the baby card. I was thinking to use it as a runner for table setting. The pink one would be perfect for a baby shower and the yellow for Easter-spring decorations.
Anyways, Back to the card projects. I used a blank green card rounded by Fiscars corner punch from Paper-Source of course. The green & white flowery paper and the pink doted paper circle is from Martha Stewart line. The duck and the sentiment ribbon is from Micheals. The plastic half pearls are from Retif. To read the content the card need to be just slide out of the felt cozy. The felt is just so perfect for a baby occasion!
The cozy is sewed together on the back as you can see and the ribbon wrapped around it and both ends are glued together. I just love baby themes!
Not completely satisfied with this one but I was in hurry. Having
more twigs would be better... but as we were getting ready for the trip
to San Francisco at that time there wasn't really time to make a super
wreath. I violently shaved one of our bushes near our apartment building
to get couple twigs and I scared one of the Easter bunnies that were
running around. I used couple egg shells from breakfast. Mr. D. was
wondering why they are lying around and they almost ended up in trash

zajačikov ktore pobehávali naokolo. Použila som pár vajíčkových
škrupiniek z raňajok. Pán D. sa čudoval prečo sa povalujú v kuchyni a
skoro skončili v koši ale podarilo sa mi ich zachrániť:) Prajem krásne
vianočné sviatky!
I got it! In my opinion one of the best source of the crafting ideas in one... the Martha Stewart crafting 'bible'. It actually came yesterday but I forgot to check the mailbox. Silly me:) But now, having it in my hands I will spent a lot of time browsing through the book, it's that thick! To explain the other items in the picture... I had to stop at Micheals today for a double side tape for one of my projects and of course I had to get couple silicon stamps. But, it was a dollar purchase each so no cry there. See you later:)
I like felt... no... I love felt! It's sooo soft and a such flexible material. It can be used in every crafting area - sewing, jewelry, scrap-booking... well, you know what I'm talking about:)
So, I just rolled a piece of red felt, sewed 3 pearls to the middle, and added a little safety pin to the back side. And, guess what? I have a cool brooch... hmmm... I think I will attach it to my purse...or to my white tank top... or to my green dress...I told you - soo flexible!
I wanted to do this a while ago. I saved this broken balloon in a shape of a heart for a next card project, maybe for Valentines day and now I did it... well, more than a month after the V day:). I just felt like it's the right time to recycle it, hehe. I like those two colors... green and red goes well together. It is not this darker Christmas combination but light colors on both, the card and the balloon. Simple card with simple expression and I enjoyed putting it together in no time!I am still thinking if I should add some text to it...
We made it!It was hard going away from all the beautiful things that we found on West Coast like the awesome paper store right next to our hotel... How amazing is that?!?! And, it is kinda tough to fly back when you get sick before you go on the plane... This wasn't amazing at all! I guess it was food poisoning... no more Chinese for me ever... well... maybe in 2 or 3 days:) Right now, I can count on soup, bread...and more soup and resting by editing pictures. Well, I have to admit I had a frozen yogurt with reese's pieces today... I really couldn't resist (blush). And, I couldn't resist to show you couple shots from our trip as well.
