More present wrapping! I got this nice red ribbon, washi tape, and the solid light-green paper at container store. We loooove Container Store:) A tag of mine that I made with help of moo is hanging on the twisted bakers twine to make sure the present ends up in the right hands.

I know... little bit spiky... but to my opinion the sweetgum fruit looks amazing on a wrapped present. I saved the brown paper bag from last wine shopping and collected a bunch of those sweetgum fruits in a park near us. They could be handy for other crafty projects. Another piece of lime-green paper from container store, a piece of gold tread, and my handmade tag printed with a help of moo and we have another present wrapped.
Ja viem... trošku pichľavé... ale podľa mňa plody zo §sweetgum§ stromu vypadajú úžasne na zabalenom darčeku. Ponechala som si hnedý papierový sáčok z posledného nákupu fľaše vína a nazbierala peknú zásobu §sweetgum§plodov v parku blízko nás. Ved' sa určite budú hodiť na d'aľšie projekty. Další kúsok žlto zeleného papiera z container store, kúsok zlatej niťe, a jedna z mojich menoviek vytlačených cez moo a daľší darček je zabalený.

Japanese paper tapes. Love them. Adore them. I want to own all the colors and patterns. The silver and gold one is a catch from the Paper World when I took a trip to Frankfurt in spring. I got 2 others but, for god sake, I can't figure out where I put them. For the patterned one I got good deal.... it was part of a stationary package on sale at Micheals.

The same idea as the summer theme cards with fish and sun from previous posts. Very beachy and very colorful. I can't wait for the summer days!

Here are two more tags I did during the Christmas in a recycling style. It's a 2 piece set with a picture of cut apple as they are common Christmas ornaments in Slovakia and they can't be missing on a Christmas Eve dinner table. Basically, all the material is scrap and would end in the trash but I saved it all:) I used silver and gold foil from chocolate candy, scrap paper, 2 pictures from an ad brochure, piece of a white tread, and piece of a natural rafia. The gold and silver star stickers are the only items that were new.

Today, I will be quick because I have a visitor at my house, one of my great friends and we are having little pajama party. I love our parties because we always eat and drink everything and talk about everything. There are usually 4 of us but 2 of my friends mowed to the States. But, we are making sure to make the tradition go on. So, sometimes it's only me and Monika...

But, back to my creation. Here is one of the tags that I made this Christmas - light blue paper from Paper-Source(I used little bit of silver pigment for the edges), gold glittery paper from P-S as well that I cut with one of my crafty scissor, white felt tree from Retif, and at last a little bit of golden tread to tied it to one of the gifts I gave away:)

I hope you enjoy your week like me:) See you later!

I love to recycle. Some people would even say that I am freak putting away all the food plastic containers, boxes from cereals, glass bottles, or even the clothing brand tags. So, if I see an interesting tag it doesn't end up in the trash but is well used. Look how useful things you can make out of the commercial tags. Like this tree tag - just adding couple flowers cut with paper punch, a pretty ribbon and a blooming note is ready to put on a present.

Isn't recycling awesome?!?!

One of my best friend Ivana came for visit from Washington, DC last week, and we had our usual session at my house with another friend of ours, Monika. We usually bring a lot of food and drink wine and talk about everything. It supposed to be really special because I didn't see Ivana over 2 years. But, the pajama party end up kind of different then the others before. My two friends fall a sleep at 9 pm. Unbelievable!!! What a lame party:) I guess we are getting old:(
So, I told you about one of my many special days from my life, hehe. Now, on to something more creative. I made this two little pictures taken at Ivana's wedding to remember for both of my friends, perfectly made for office desk at work with a tulip photo holder from our store or to hang it on a bulletin board as I add a ribbon to it. I put it into self-adhesive foil so it is almost indestructible. So, if they spill coffee over their desk is perfectly safe! I miss that great time when we where having fun at the wedding:) Have a great week everybody!!!

I have a great news for you but first of all I wanna mention how happy and relieved I am that I am done with all the Christmas mailing! Remember those last 3 envelopes waiting on my table for proper addresses, they are on the way now! I mailed them on Friday ( I didn't make it on Thursday, I wish!) this time from our small post office down in the town because I though it will be less busy. Guess what?! I almost turned back just because there was like 50 people waiting in the line but I had to send them because Friday was already late (Again!!! I think I need to start with Christmas cards little bit earlier, he-he). So, I overcome my antipathy of standing in lines and stayed:((

The funny thing was that my poor dog was waiting outside the post-office dragging the bike-stand around to which I tide him up checking every person coming out of the building looking for me (I didn't know he is that strong, it was a metal one too!!!). I guess it was kinda scary for the people because I have a German Shepard - so, you can imagine:))) But, he is a great dog and he would not harm anybody (well, tell that to those people looking at enormous dog dragging a metal rack around checking and sniffing on everybody:)))

The 2nd reason I am happy is that Darren is finally here!!! He came yesterday and we though he's gonna be stuck in New York for a while because of a big storm coming that way. I guess he came on time because around 600 flights where canceled leaving from JFK that evening. We already managed to go to the Christmas market to get some Gypsies liver in a bun, poppy pancakes, and cooked wine (yummy!!!). Don't worry it is not real Gypsies liver:))) just a piece of grilled chicken or pork with grilled onions wrapped in a piece of bread ( I could kill for that food and Darren too!).

So, back to the news I actually wanted to write about. I had first 2 official orders for my tags and cards!!! Isn't that exciting! Well, I got one from my own mother for her flower stores but hey, I get paid for that:))). So, that one was an order for 50 Christmas tags and couple cards. The 2nd one was for a friend of my friend (ha-ha) and it was exactly 11 Christmas tags. Here are couple pictures...
